Practical tips for campervan travel from Wroclaw
In Wroclaw, the most convenient campervan parking is at P&R car parks (e.g., Stadion, Poludnie) β free and well-connected to the centre by tram. The campsite near the Municipal Stadium is an option with facilities close to attractions. On the outskirts towards Trzebnica, you will find quiet spots. Avoid the strict city centre with a campervan β narrow streets, numerous bridges, and restrictions for large vehicles.
The best season is May through October. The Klodzko Valley and Karkonosze are best in summer (June-September) β passes open, hiking trails fully accessible. Autumn (September-October) is ideal for Lower Silesian castles β golden foliage, fewer tourists, magical atmosphere. Spring brings blooming gardens at the palaces.
Tip: from Wroclaw, take the A4 motorway to Jaworzyna Slaska, then head south to the mountains. In the mountains, refuel at larger stations β small mountain stations do not always carry LPG. Drinking water is available at spa towns (springs) and campsites. Before departure, stock up at the large stores on the outskirts of Wroclaw (Auchan, Carrefour).
