Getting to Zakopane
Reach Zakopane via the S7 expressway (from Kraków and Warsaw, exit at "Rabka-Zdrój" or "Chabówka"). The final 30 km is national road 47 — a mountain route, often congested in season. In winter, winter or M+S tyres are required (on the new Nomad Camper — off-road tyres, mandatory in deep snow). No expressway runs through Zakopane. Bypass 47 in peak season via Czarny Dunajec and Poronin (scenic, slower).
