Kraków is one of Poland's most beautiful but also most challenging cities for campervan travellers. Narrow Old Town streets, the Park & Ride zone and weight restrictions make driving a large camper to the Main Square practically impossible. The best option is Camping nr 103 "Clepardia" (about 3 km from the Main Square, reachable by public transport), the VANWAY camper park and other parkings in the Zabłocie district — a 15-minute walk from Kazimierz. In nearby Wieliczka you will also find tourist parkings accommodating campervans (e.g. at the Salt Mine). Kraków is a perfect base for the Tatras (80 km), Zakopane, the Wieliczka UNESCO mine, Auschwitz-Birkenau, Ojców National Park and the Pieniny range. From 2026 Kraków expands its Clean Transport Zone — campervans with Euro 5+ engines can enter freely. For short visits, use the Park & Ride lots (Kurdwanów, Czerwone Maki) connected by tram. Kraków in a campervan is a compromise between travel comfort and urban limits — plan your stay ahead and explore the centre on foot or by bike.
