Szczecin is the largest city in West Pomerania, a strategic gateway to Germany and Scandinavia. For campervan travellers it is primarily a transit hub — close to the German border (25 km to Pomellen), with excellent routes to Berlin (150 km) and onward to Western Europe, or to the Scandinavian ferries from nearby Świnoujście (75 km). The city itself has several verified overnight spots: West Camp, Marina Park Szczecin and Camper System on the outskirts. Within Szczecin there are over a dozen dump stations, water points and LPG stations — especially around Auchan Ustowo and the Prawobrzeże industrial zones. Szczecin has no Clean Transport Zone yet, so campervan access is unrestricted. It is an excellent base for exploring the Bukowa Forest, Lake Dąbie (Poland's second-largest lake), the Baltic coast (Międzyzdroje, Świnoujście) and Woliński National Park. For travellers heading to Scandinavia, Szczecin is the last major supply base before the Świnoujście ferry (Stena Line to Ystad, Unity Line to Trelleborg).
