Thanks to the 220 m Kołobrzeg pier, lighthouse and historic Cathedral, the town offers a classic seaside holiday. Sanatoriums and spas run year-round — a popular winter base for spa guests. Nearby — Mielno (25 km), Rewal and the cliffs at Trzęsacz (70 km), Ustronie Morskie, Sarbinowo. Kołobrzeg has no Clean Transport Zone. Main approach roads are DK 11 (from the south via Poznań) and S6 (from the west — Szczecin, east — Gdańsk). At peak (July–August) book 4–6 weeks ahead.
