Campervan for skiing

Your base at the foot of the slopes. MAN TGE with AT tyres, Truma D6E heating, full equipment. Skip the hotel — sleep right by the ski lift. From 500 PLN/day.

Why a campervan for skiing?

Picture this: you finish a day on the slopes, step outside the ski lift building, and your warm campervan is parked 50 metres away. No shuttle bus. No trudging through town with heavy boots. No hotel room key. You kick off your ski boots, step inside, turn on the hot shower, and 15 minutes later you are cooking dinner while watching the snow fall through the window. That is the campervan skiing experience.

The financial case is compelling. A hotel room near a popular ski resort like Zakopane or Białka Tatrzańska costs 300-600 PLN per night in high season. Add meals (150-250 PLN/day for two people eating out) and you are looking at 500-850 PLN per day just for accommodation and food. With a campervan, you pay the rental fee and cook your own meals in a fully equipped kitchen. The savings over a 5-7 day ski trip can be substantial — money better spent on ski passes.

Our MAN TGE is genuinely winter-ready. The Truma D6E diesel heating maintains a comfortable 20-25°C inside even when it is -15°C outside. It runs on diesel from the vehicle tank — no electricity needed, no gas bottles to run out. The water system is insulated and heated, so pipes do not freeze. Cooper Discoverer AT3 all-terrain tyres provide solid grip on snowy and icy mountain roads. This is not a summer campervan pressed into winter service — it is built for year-round adventure.

The flexibility advantage is huge for skiing. If the conditions are not great at one resort, you simply drive to another. Zakopane crowded? Try Białka Tatrzańska, 20 minutes away. Karpacz foggy? Szklarska Poręba might have perfect sun. With a hotel, you are locked into your booking. With a campervan, you follow the best snow. You can even check multiple resorts in a single trip — ski Szczyrk for two days, then drive to Zieleniec for three more.

Parking near lifts & overnight spots

Finding the right parking spot is key to a great skiing-by-campervan experience. Most Polish ski resorts have large car parks that tolerate overnight stays — especially outside the peak holiday periods. Many resorts are actively becoming more campervan-friendly, adding designated motorhome areas with electrical hook-ups and water points.

We provide all our skiing customers with a detailed list of tested parking spots near each resort, including GPS coordinates, pricing, and available facilities. FAQ

Campervan for skiing — FAQ

Can the campervan handle icy winter roads?
Our MAN TGE is a rear-wheel-drive vehicle equipped with Cooper Discoverer AT3 all-terrain tyres, which have excellent grip on snow and wet surfaces. It also has ESP, ASR, and ABS systems. For particularly icy access roads to ski resort car parks, snow chains are advisable — we can provide them on request.
How warm is the campervan in winter?
Very warm! The Truma D6E heating runs on diesel from the vehicle's fuel tank and maintains 20-25°C even at -15°C outside. The system is independent of the engine — it runs all night without issues. The water tank is heated, so it doesn't freeze. After skiing, you return to a warm campervan with a hot shower.
Where can I park the campervan near ski slopes?
Most Polish ski resorts have car parks that tolerate overnight stays in campervans. Białka Tatrzańska, Szczyrk, Karpacz, Szklarska Poręba — all have parking near the lifts. Some resorts also have dedicated motorhome areas with electrical hook-ups. We'll recommend the best spots for your chosen destination.
How much does a ski trip campervan rental cost?
Winter rates start from 500 PLN per day. A typical ski trip is 4-7 days. Compare that with the cost of a hotel near the slopes (300-600 PLN/night for 2 people) and you'll quickly see the campervan pays for itself — especially since you have a kitchen and cook instead of eating in restaurants. Call +48 666 607 545 for a quote.
Is the campervan suitable as a ski touring base?
Perfectly! Cooper AT3 off-road tyres let you reach remote starting points for ski touring routes. Starlink Mini provides internet even in remote valleys — check avalanche conditions, weather, and route maps. After ski touring, you return to a warm campervan with a shower, kitchen, and comfortable bed. Better than a mountain hut!
