Campervan rental in Tricity

Tricity — Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot — is a metropolitan area of around 750,000 residents and one of the most popular starting points for a campervan trip across northern Poland. Three different cities on one coastline: historic Gdansk with its Long Market and Westerplatte, modern Gdynia with its port and Seaside Boulevard, and elegant Sopot with Europe's longest wooden pier. It's where culture meets the sea.

Our base is in Szczecinek (250 km, about 2 hours 45 minutes' drive), but for an additional fee we'll deliver the MAN TGE campervan to any address in Gdansk, Gdynia, or Sopot. Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport makes it a convenient starting point for international visitors — we can meet you at the airport or deliver the camper to an agreed location. Call: +48 666 607 545.

From Tricity, you can head in three main directions: north to the Hel Peninsula (a narrow spit with beaches on both sides), southwest to Kashubia (Kashubian Lake District, Kartuzy, Szymbark), or east to Elblag and the Vistula Spit. Each route offers completely different landscapes and attractions. The Tricity area also has excellent seaside campsites.

Practical tips for campervan travel from Trójmiasto

Parking a campervan in Tricity requires planning. In Gdansk, we recommend parking at Sobieszewo Island or the Stogi campsite by the beach. In Gdynia, you can park at the Seaside Boulevard (paid) or the car park at Kepa Redlowska. Sopot has very limited spots — better to leave the camper in Gdynia and take the SKM train. In summer, book campsites in advance.

The best season is June through September. July and August are peak — crowds, higher campsite prices, but also the best weather and all attractions open. June and September are the ideal compromise. For the Hel Peninsula, June is best — fewer tourists and easy parking.

Tip: from Tricity, you can send a courier package to Szczecinek at the end of your trip — no need to pack everything into the camper for the return. LPG stations are available on the Tricity bypass (S6/S7). You can refill drinking water at campsites or Orlen fuel stations.
