The war-rebuilt Old Town (UNESCO), modern skyscrapers, Royal Lazienki Park, Wilanow Palace β Warsaw is a city of contrasts worth exploring before setting off on a longer campervan route. Practical tips for campervan travel from Warszawa
Parking a campervan in Warsaw requires planning. We recommend P&R car parks β such as Metro Mlociny, Wilanowska, or Ursynow β they are free and well-connected to the centre by metro. Camping Majawa on the city outskirts (Jozefow) offers full facilities for campervans. By the Vistula, near Lomianki, you will find quiet spots with river views. Avoid the city centre with a campervan β narrow streets, traffic jams, and expensive parking.
The best season is May through September, but Warsaw is attractive year-round. Head to Masuria in summer (June-August) β warm water, long days. Podlasie and Bialowieza Forest are beautiful in spring (May) and autumn (September-October). In winter, the campervan with Truma D6E heating handles the cold, but many campsites are closed.
Practical tip: before leaving Warsaw, stock up at wholesale stores on the outskirts (Makro, Selgros) β large packages are perfect for the campervan kitchen. LPG stations are available at every exit road from the city. Drinking water is available at campsites, Orlen, and BP fuel stations. If you flew in, we can deliver the campervan to Chopin Airport β call for details.
